Roscommon LEADER Partnership, on behalf of County Roscommon Traveller Health Project (CRTHP), commissioned S3 Solutions Ltd in July 2019 to carry out research that explores current barriers, possible solutions, incentives and future actions in relation to Traveller employment in County Roscommon. Funding for this study was secured through Roscommon LEADER Partnership, Roscommon County Council Social Inclusion Unit and CRTHP. This report sets out the findings from the research process including direct contributions from members of the Traveller community in County Roscommon.
This research aligns with CRTHPs work in tackling the social determinants of health, seeking to address inequalities such as accommodation and employment. The CRTHP has set up an Employment Creation and Planning Group which was tasked with overseeing this research. This is a multi-agency approach made representatives from key agencies.
A copy of this research is available.
