Roscommon Youth Service
Roscommon Youth Service, is a Roscommon Leader Partnership and Foróige operated targeted youth service funded through the Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board & UBU Your Space Your Place.
The aim of the service is to provide support for young people living in county Roscommon aged 10-24 years who are at risk of not reaching their full potential due to a variety of factors including but not limited to economic disadvantage, marginalisation, rural isolation, social isolation, metal health concerns, disability etc.
Vision:
Roscommon Youth Service is a dynamic and flexible service that works to meet the ever-changing needs of young people, in particular those most at risk of not reaching their full potential.
This will be achieved through programmes that build confidence, creativity, resilience, relationships, life skills and a sense of belonging, in partnership with young people and their communities.
Areas:
Roscommon Youth Service 2 is a mobile service based in the rural locations around the County. Roscommon Youth Service is based in Elphin, Strokestown, Monksland, Ballyforan and Roscommon Town on a weekly basis.
Referrals:
Professional referrals
The project is open to professional referrals by way of Roscommon Youth Service referral form.
Self / parental / guardian referrals
Young people can self-refer to the service with under 18 years requiring parental consent. Parents/ guardians can also refer young people with the consent of the young person.
