Housing Care Project

Housing Care Project logo

Housing Care supports the “digitalization” and “person centred care” of the elderly. The project aims to respond to the increasing number of older people seeking homecare services in our regions, thus the need to support the upskilling of homecare workers whom support this cohort with enhanced digital skills in areas such as Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) and telemedicine.

The overall objective of the project is to support elder care providers and their workers by providing digital skills training in the latest technologies such as AAL and telemedicine, thus making the European Elder Care system sustainable.

Project Results

MOOC (Massive Online Training Course)- Develop an up-skilling training course that provides Care Workers with the basics of supporting elderly care through the inclusion of AAL & E-Health technologies. The course will involve an online platform being developed full of useful tools and resources including animations, video tutorials, infographics, presentations, online articles/links.

Digital Toolkit– A set of useful tools for designing and implementing hands-on learning activities addressed to Care Workers which will be implemented in a work-based pathway. It will include contents, activities and tools also addressed to trainers who will support the care workers in the work-based learning experience. (*Similar to a train-the-trainer resource*)
