Ballaghaderreen Resource Centre
Northwest Roscommon CDP Ltd, trading as the Community Resource Centre since 2012, is a company operating under the legal structure of a guarantee limited company. It is overseen by a dedicated Voluntary Management Committee. The organization was established in 2003 with the primary objective of implementing the Community Development Programme, which received funding from the Department of Community Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs.
A comprehensive support hub
Today, the Community Resource Centre serves as a comprehensive support hub for individuals residing in Ballaghaderreen and its surrounding areas. It provides a wide array of services, valuable information, training opportunities, and confidential support in a welcoming and secure environment.
Additionally, the Resource Centre benefits from the assistance of staff members from Roscommon LEADER Partnership, who are involved in both the SICAP and TÚS Programme. This collaboration is further reinforced by the continuous support provided by the dedicated staff members of Roscommon LEADER Partnership, who work closely with the Management Committee and the Centre on a daily basis.
Roscommon LEADER Partnership provides the following in the centre:
- Traveller Health Programme
- Computer training courses
- Other training courses e.g. gardening, healthcare etc.
- Walk in clients
- Support to the Voluntary Management Committee of CDP
