ELIZABETH CUMMINS
Elizabeth Cummins from Ballaghaderreen has been in the health and fitness industry for more than ten years. She studied neuromuscular therapy had built up a local client base in her area but after the covid pandemic she realised there was an opportunity to expand. With the restrictions lifted, she saw a gap in the market and applied for the back to work enterprise allowance and set up her own clinic in Ballaghaderreen.
DONAL HAUGHEY
Donal Haughey set up Roscommon Windows in 2012. From his experience from working within the construction sector, he saw a niche in the market for supplying and fitting uPVC windows and doors products and the repair of older productions. having over 20 years of experience as a qualified engineer it gave him a great start – despite the fact it was in the middle of a recession in 2012.
LYDIA CLAYTON
Lydia Clayton Goldsmith designs innovative jewellery that celebrates important moments, satisfies gifting opportunities, and sustains memories. It promotes sustainability as a customer facing added value of the brand. LCG is located in a private studio in Roscommon, the business is operated by owner, Lydia Clayton, with a view to ultimately expand employment & training as the business grows.
DAIRE COYLE
Daire Coyle worked previously as a refrigeration engineer but was let go in his old job in January 2022 and, after spending the next few months going through job interview process, he decided to set up his own business on the Sligo Roscommon border Today he runs his own heat pump enterprise and has secured a contract with one heating design company based in the west of Ireland.
