    Recruitment - Ukrainian Refugee Intercultural Support Worker

    FULL-TIME
     
    The Ukrainian Refugee Intercultural Support Worker will work with the Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP) team in supporting their response to the needs of Ukrainian Refugees located in County Roscommon. Some of the duties will include:
     
    • The Ukrainian Refugee Intercultural Support Worker will act as a support and link person for Ukrainian refugees in 6 existing sites.

    • They will co-ordinate day to day activities and organise support, to include providing advice, guidance and translation supports where necessary.

    • They will work as part of the SICAP team to support clients into our complimentary services, training and capacity building and refer clients to other relevant agencies as necessary.  

     

    The desirable competencies include:
    • A relevant third level degree in relevant areas or post-graduate qualification

    • One year experience of working in a similar role is desirable.

    • Ukrainian and/or Russian language fluency essential.

    • Fluent in English (written and oral).

    • Advocacy and networking skills.

    • Excellent time management and workload planning skills.

    • Understanding of and a commitment to the promotion of equal opportunities and cultural diversity.

    • Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    • Understanding of the barriers and issues facing immigrants (including refugees) and obstacles in accessing social and other services in Ireland.

    • Working with socially excluded and/or minority groups.

    • Experience of working in a busy environment with the ability to prioritise and manage your own calendar.

    • Excellent ICT, communication and report writing skills.

    • Ability to working both on own initiative and as part of a team.

    Keadue Social Services, a Day & Activity Centre and a Community Food Services Programme serving the needs of Older People and Adults with Disabilities in Keadue and surrounding areas of North Roscommon and South Leitrim are seeking to recruit a Driver / Day Centre Assistant

    The Driver / Day Centre Assistant has responsibility for delivery of meals as required, collection/delivery of customers as required, for helping with the daily preparation and serving of dinners at the centre and dining room assistance as required.
     
    We are seeking an enthusiastic, courteous and trustworthy candidate who is committed to providing a quality service that responds to the individual needs and priorities of the people we support.

     

    Candidates will work as part of a team and should have:

    A full clean Driving Licence (essential)
    • D1 category Driving Licence is desirable but not essential
    • Experience of working with older people is desirable but not essential
    • Experience of working in a food environment is desirable but not essential
    • Good spoken English

    Recruitment - AfterSchool Childcare Assistant

    PART-TIME 10.5 hours per week
     
    The Afterschool Childcare Assistant will provide afterschool and homework supports to children and young people on the Big Blue Play Bus service.

    The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a team and have:
    • Minimum FETAC Level 5 in Childcare or relevant field
    • Minimum 1 years’ experience in Childcare or Afterschool setting
    • Competent in consideration of the needs of children
    • Good Communication and relating to skills with children, staff and parents
