    RECRUITMENT - Family Resource Centre Ballaghaderreen

    Family Support - Community Development Worker
     
    The Family Support / Community Development Worker will work closely with the Project Co-ordinator to support the project to implement its Work Plan.

    The ideal candidate should have:

    • A relevant third level qualification – minimum Level 7 (e.g. Family Support Practice or Community Development);
    • A minimum of 2 years’ paid work experience, post qualification, of providing family support in a community-based setting, including experience of:
    • organising community events;
    • liaising / networking with community, voluntary and statutory agencies;
    • delivering programmes, activities and/or services to groups;
    • providing one-to-one supports directly to parents/families;
    • delivering parent support programmes;
    • providing information and support to individuals and groups;
    • Proven experience in accessing funding;
    • Excellent IT, social media and report writing skills;
    • Access to own transport and a full clean driving license.


    This position is 35 hours per week.

    The Growing Tree in Ballaghaderreen is currently looking for Early Years Educators to join the team.

    Applicants must have:

    • A Minimum of FETAC Level 5 in Childcare or higher
    • Experience of working within the early year’s sector
    • Knowledge of the pre-school regulations
    • Children First / Child Protection certification is desirable
    • Current First Aid certification is desirable
    • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
    • A genuine love of working with children as well as an enthusiasm in implementing a play-based curriculum
    • Garda Clearance and references

    Hours of Work: 26.5 hours to 35 hours per week options available

    Days of Work - Monday to Friday 

    Salary: Very competitive rates per hour depending on qualification and experience

    RECRUITMENT - RELIEF Panel Early Years Workers

    The Growing Tree Childcare Facility in Ballaghaderreen is currently looking for RELIEF Early Years Educators to join a panel of relief workers to cover for staff annual leave/sick leave and training days etc.

    Applicants must have:

    A Minimum of FETAC Level 5 in Childcare or higher
    Experience of working within the early year’s sector
    Knowledge of the pre-school regulations
    Children First / Child Protection certification is desirable
    Current First Aid certification is desirable

    Recruitment - AfterSchool Childcare Assistant

    PART-TIME 10.5 hours per week
     
    The Afterschool Childcare Assistant will provide afterschool and homework supports to children and young people.

    The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a team and have:
    • Minimum FETAC Level 5 in Childcare or relevant field
    • Minimum 1 years’ experience in Childcare or Afterschool setting
    • Competent in consideration of the needs of children
    • Good Communication and relating to skills with children, staff and parents
    • Up to date knowledge of legislation and regulations
    • Updated Children’s first safeguarding regulations and reporting procedures

    • Working hours: Assistant 10.5 hours per week (4 afternoons)
