Ballaghaderreen Family Resource Centre serves all families and individuals in the Ballaghaderreen area to combat disadvantage, improve the functioning of the family unit, improving community participation and enhance social integration. The FRC provides a range of universal and targeted services and development opportunities that address the needs of families in the community.

The provision of information, advice and support to target groups and families. Information concerning the range of services and development options available locally and advice on accessing rights and entitlements is also extended. FRCs act as a focal point for onward referrals to mainstream service providers.

The Ballaghadreen FRC is a community-based model of family support for all ages. It provides practical support, guidance and workshops in a safe and confidential space on a 1:1 basis and through group working to meet identified needs of individual experiencing short- or long-term difficulties. These supports include but are not limited to parenting support and programmes, home-work support and personal development programs. Interagency working with both statutory and non-statutory agencies plays a fundamental role in ensuring successful outcome for families and individuals in the area.
